Well, you couldn’t help your initial reaction b/c it was something that was totally shocking to you. Same thing as if you’re watching a scary movie, a scary part comes on, u jump and get freaked out, then laugh afterwards. You didn’t jump on purpose. You reacted to a scary part of the movie.
In my opinion, you didn’t do anything “wrong”. I think in a way it’s more of a wake up call to this “plastic” looking teacher. If she’s gonna bring shock value into her life with dramatic surgeries, she better be prepared for the shocking reactions from those around her.
